Supreme Court seek remarks from FBR on petition filed by employee M. Farooq

ISLAMABAD:  Supreme Court of Pakistan sought comments from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on a petition filed by an employee of FBR Mohammad Farooq.

According to details, a two member bench headed by Justice Azmat Saeed conducted the hearing in which the counsel of petitioner prayed to court that his client was posted as clerk on the basis of his qualification in 2013. He also argued that Inspector Saeed who represented FBR also stated in Lahore High Court that FBR has no objection if Mohammad Farooq posted as clerk.

Now FBR authorities challenged the verdict of LHC in Supreme Court. During proceedings court asked that any action is taken against the particular inspector? On this FBR counsel stated that he has now knowledge about it. FBR after temporarily suspended implementation of the petition directed chairman FBR to file his remarks on the petition on Friday (today).
