Surgical goods exports increases by 29.71% in 1st months

ISLAMABAD: The exports of surgical goods and medical instruments grew by 29.71 percent during the first month of current financial year as compared the exports of the corresponding period of last year.

Surgical goods and medical instruments worth US$ 29.984 million were exported during the month of July, 2017 as against the exports of US$ US$ 23.101 million of same month of last year.  Meanwhile, about 538 metric tons of pharmaceutical products worth 19.625 million exported during the period under review as compared the exports of US$ 16.450 million of same period last year.  According the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, cutlery exports posted 22.67 percent as above mention commodity worth US$ 7.418 million exported as compared the exports of 6.047 million of same period last year.

Exports of chemicals and pharma products grew by 34.88 percent during the period under review as it was recorded at US$ 84.951 million as against the exports of US$ 62.992 million of same period of last year.

Fertilizers exports registered 100 percent increase during the first month of current financial year as about 25,872 metric tons of fertilizers exported.

During the first month about 8,989 metric tons of plastic material worth US$ 14.921 million exported, which was recorded at US$ 14.188 million of same month of last year.
