HONG KONG: Controversial legislation to restrict port development in Queensland has been delayed until next month.
The Sustainable Ports Development Bill was expected to be introduced into State Parliament this week.
It is now likely to be debated during the next sittings in November.
Petitions for and against future port development in far north Queensland have recently been tabled in Parliament.
More than 100 far north Queensland businesses have signed an open letter calling on the State Government to restrict port development at Cairns and Mourilyan.
