Swiss firms show interest to invest in Iran

TEHRAN: Chairman of Iran-Switzerland Friendship Association said that European companies, Swiss companies in particular, are interested to invest in Iran.

Reza Rafiei, also deputy head of Joint Chamber of Commerce, said that Anzali Free Trade Zone has agreed to the establishment of Swiss House in the region.

Referring to change in attitude of the international community towards Iran after President Hassan Rouhani’s election, he said that if Swiss House is set up in Anzali Free Trade Zone, the venue will serve as a center for commercial cultural exchanges as well as a forum for making the Swiss investors acquainted with the two countries’ capacities and areas of cooperation.

Swiss House is to be set up in the zone on the proposal of Head of Switzerland-Iran Friendship Association Vital Burger and approval of Managing Director of Anzali Free Trade Zone Reza Masroor.

Anzali Free Trade Zone is the only free zone in Caspian Sea coastlines which handles exports and imports to Caspian Sea littoral states, Turkey and Southeast Asian states.
