According to Gabriel, by far the greatest success was celebrated by chemical company Sika. With a brand value of CHF384 million, the company has returned to the list of the top 50 Swiss brands, in 39th place. The takeover battle with French rival St Gobain has provided ongoing media coverage and thus great brand awareness, he said. In spite of this distraction, in the past 12 months the company has taken over a number of other companies and presented record figures.
