LONDON: Taiwan received export orders worth US$35.70 billion in total in June 2016, increasing 5.9% on month but decreasing 2.4% on year, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on July 20.
IT/communication products and electronic products were the top two categories in terms of export order value for June, generating US$10.34 billion and US$9.28 billion. The total export order value for the second quarter stood at US$102.59 billion, growing 4.2% on quarter but slipping 6.5% on year. The total export order value of US$201.07 billion for January-June dropped 7.4% on year.
