Following months of investigations, the CIB and police jointly launched raids on April 30 at four different locations in Taipei and New Taipei. The Ho brothers were arrested during the raids.

Police also confiscated more than 100 bags of powder containing unidentified narcotics, and tools used to manufacture illicit drugs, the CIB said.

According to investigators, the Ho brothers are specialized and experienced in selling and producing drugs. The two bought raw materials at a Chinese online shopping site and then used these materials to produce illicit drugs.

The two later sold these self-made drugs at selected night clubs and bars in Taipei. Each bag of marijuana was priced between NT$3,000 and NT$8,000, the CIB said.

The case is now being investigated by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office; the two brothers are charged with violating the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act and Pharmaceutical Affairs Act.
