TAIPEI: Taiwan stocks rose on Thursday, led by some tech shares and mainly following peers in the region due to lack of cues at home.
As of 0216 GMT, the main TAIEX index rose 0.4 per cent to 9,732.73, after closing up 0.3 per cent on Wednesday.

The electronics subindex was up 0.8 per cent. The financial subindex was down 0.1 per cent.
