Taiwanese export orders value drops 2.7% in February 2015

TAIPIE: Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that, The Foreign Businesses orders value placed by Taiwanese firms in January and February 2015 downed to 2.7 percent with an amount of $29.89billion.However, the aggregate value of foreign orders received by Taiwanese companies in the January-February period totaled US$68.93 billion, a 3.2 percent increase over the same period of last year.

The value of orders from Japan in the two-month period dropped by 26.4 percent annually, according to the data. However, in the month of January and February 2015 outbound shipment of electronics products and information/telecommunication, two of the country’s main exports, posted a yearly growth of 7.4 percent and 13.9 percent, respectively, the value of orders from both the United States and Europe in the January- February period registered annual double-digit growth, said Ministry.
