Tarin directs FBR to settle issues of pharmaceutical industry related to sales tax

ISLAMABAD: Adviser on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin has directed Chairman FBR to take all possible steps for the settlement of the issues of pharmaceutical industry related to Sales Tax.

He was attending a meeting with delegation of Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Association headed by its chairman Qazi Manzoor in Islamabad today [Thursday].

Chairman PPMA highlighted the problems being faced by the Pharmaceutical manufacturers especially issues related to refund of sales tax and sought support of the government to resolve their issues.

In his remarks, Shaukat Tarin lauded the contribution of pharmaceutical manufacturers for the betterment of the economy of Pakistan and assured them that Government is fully committed to address the issues of Pharmaceutical industry and providing maximum support to them.

He also stressed the Pharmaceutical industry to enhance their exports base.

The PPMA delegation thanked the Adviser for making efforts in addressing the issues of the industry.
