Tata finally unveils Zica hatchback

LONDON: After endless rumours, several spy shots and teaser images, Tata has finally unveiled the Zica hatchback. When Tata Motors announced football superstar Lionel Messi as its brand ambassador, they gave us a quick glimpse of what the Zica would look like with the help of a promo video. Now that official images have been released by Tata, we get a clearer picture of what the car looks like, well, quite literally!

Much like the Zest and the Bolt, the Zica too sports the smiley grille that has gradually become Tata’s trademark. The chrome strip under the honeycomb grille works well to give it a nice highlight. On either side of the grille, the Zica sports large spearhead shaped headlights. The large bumper gets circular fog lamps with chrome surrounds. In profile, the Zica gets a sharp crease along its shoulder, turn indicators on the ORVMs and silver 10-spoke alloy wheels. At the back too things are pretty neatly sculpted. The sharp lines on the boot lid connect the taillights on either side and to add to the overall design there is the roof spoiler with the blackened out edges.
