NEW DELHI: The powerful Tata Safari Storme Varicor 400 has finally been launched for Rs 13.52 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Cosmetically, the new Tata Safari Storme Varicor 400 has not received any major cosmetic upgrade apart from a new badging, however mechanically the engine gets more power and a new gearbox. Under the hood, the new Tata Safari Storme Varicor 400 gets the same 2.2-litre engine, but this time around, the power output has been enhanced to 154.8bhp and 400Nm of torque as against the older one that generated 148bhp. The powerful version does a 0-60km/h in mere 5.2 seconds while it is capable of doing a 0-100km/h in just about 12.8 seconds. The engine also gets a new six-speed manual transmission and shift-on-the-fly all-wheel drive. The lower trims however continue to deliver older power output figures and come mated with five-speed manual transmission.
