Tata’s much awaited Bolt car available in India at Rs 4.49lakhs

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors has introduced its much awaited car, the Bolt. The Bolt will have competition from the Hyundai grand i10, Ford figo, Maruti Swift and Chevrolet Sail. The expected launch price will be Rs 4.49 lakhs to Rs 6.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

On the exterior, from the front it holds the typical Zest-like grille with sufficient chrome lining it. The headlights are again carried forward from the Zest to this hatchback consisting of projector lamps for more focused vision during the night drives. There are no daytime-running lamps. The roof-line seems to scoop up from front till the back and ends with a small taillight.

On the inside the Bolt is going to be holding trendy interiors while the Zest has more premium styling. The centre console consists of same Harman entertainment system. The feature list is just the replica of the Zest. Some of the features would be the reverse parking sensors, Harman surround system with a medium size screen for multi infotainment features.

The company will offer the car with the same eight variants, the XE, XM, XMS and XT in petrol and diesel variant both. The Bolt engines will possess a 1.2 Revotron engine managing to produce 85bhp of power and 140Nm of torque. While the diesel engine will be a 1.3 Quadra jet producing 75bhp of power and 190Nm of torque.
