Tausif Qureshi assumes charge as Member on promotion to BS-21

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has promoted Tausif Ahmed Qureshi, a Pakistan Customs Service officer, to Grade 21 on regular basis with immediately effect.

According to notification No, 2415-C-1/2017 issued by Secretary ( Mgt Customs-1) Jameel Ahmed Baloch, the officer was also transferred from the post of Director, Directorate of IPR Enforcement (Central) Lahore and posted as Member at Federal Board of Revenue ( FBR ) (HQs) Islamabad.

Moreover, the officer in pursuance of FBR notification No, 2415-C-1/2017 on his promotion has relinquished the charge of post relinquished the charge of the post of Director (BS-20), Directorate of IPRE (Central), Lahore with effect from August 29 and assumed the charge of the post of Member (BS-21) at Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad on the same date.

Tausif ahmed Qureshi is known as an honest and competent officer who detected high-level cargo pilferage when he was working in Faisalabad as a Collector. He showed exceptional performance in Faisalabad Customs. Tausif Ahmad also intercepted four containers out of which three were imported by M/s Elite Enterprises and one by M/s Shahzad Enterprises in a misdeclaration case.
