ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer asked the Korean Defence Attache to expedite feasibility for the second shipyard to be built at Gwadar.
“During my visit to Korea, I was amazed to see the facility at their shipyard,” he informed, adding that their capacity, skill and technique were state-of-the-art. “We will like our Korean friends to extend us assistance in building second shipyard at Gwadar as it will open new vistas in terms of business, trade and revenue for Pakistan,” he emphasized.
Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer stated this while talking to a Korean delegation comprising Korean Aerospace Industry (KAI) Vice President Kim Hyong Jun, Director Business Development Dong J Choi along with Defence Attache in Korean Embassy in Pakistan.
He declared that Pakistan and Korea were enjoying friendly bilateral relations in various sectors and Pakistan would like to get benefits of the advanced aerospace industry of the latter.
Mr Hussain lauded the standard of aircrafts especially trainer jets produced in Korea.
On the occasion, KAI head Mr Kim Hyong Jun said that his country would like to benefit from the state of the art facility in Pakistan as joint production will reduce the cost of the end product.
