ISLAMABAD: All field offices of Federal Board of Revenue will remain open and observe extended working hours from 9:00am to 8:00pm on Friday (April 29) for receipt of returns under Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) and collection of duties/taxes, said a notification issued on Thursday.
The chief commissioners have been directed to establish liaison with State Bank of Pakistan and authorised branches of National Bank of Pakistan to ensure transfer of tax collection by these branches on April 29 to the respective offices of SBP on the same date to ensure the accounting of the same towards the collection for the month of ongoing month, the notification added.
