PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has barred Town-3 Municipal Administration, Peshawar, from collecting trade tax from a private cellular company per tower installation.
A division bench comprising Justice Ikramullah Khan and Justice Muhammad Ayub stayed the collection of tax from MS Telenor Pak and issued notice to the Town-3 Administration to submit reply to the petition.
The cellular company had filed the writ petition against the notice of Town Municipal Administration of Town-3 through its lawyer Muhammad Farooq Afridi. During hearing, the lawyer informed the bench that the TMA directed the petitioner company to deposit Trade tax Rs.30000/-per tower with TMA.
