Tax evasion: Custom Court directs jail authority to release suspect on bail

KARACHI: The Custom Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi directed the Jail Superintendent Central, Karachi to release the accused person namely Shahyar S/O Khalid Muhmood, accountant of Khurram Steel on bail who was booked in a case of tax evasion case.

During the hearing, surety Muhammad Imran S/O Muhammad Yaqoob appeared behalf of the above named accused person and submitted surety of amount Rs. 2, 00, 000 which was accepted by the court. After the furnishing required surety, court directed the Jail Superintendent Central, Karachi to release the above named accused person on bail, if he is not required in any other case, court also directed the accused appear before the case for January 30, 2017.

According to the prosecution, accused Shahyar S/O Khalid Muhmood was arrested and remanded to judicial custody by this court on January 03, 2017 and court had granted his vide order January 11, 2017 subject to furnishing surety in the sum of Rs. 2, 00, 000 with P.R bond of the like amount to the satisfaction of this court.
