Tax evasion: Customs Adjudication issues show cause notice to Qasim and Company

KARACHI: Collectorate of Adjudication II issued a show cause notice to M/s. Qasim and Company over tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today, that during an audit conducted by directorate of Post Clearance Audit it was observed that M/s. Qasim and Company availed undue benefits of SRO 1125 during clearance process of consignments of polyester top. It was further revealed that company caused a loss of Rs 13,54,545 to national kitty.

Sources further said that above said company is also registered under the forge name of Qasim and Company Importers so it availed undue benefits under SRO. Customs Adjudication authorities finalized their report and forward it to Collectorate Adjudication for further proceedings and action.
