Tax evasion: Investigation and Prosecution team seizes record of Ismaeel Garments for investigation

LAHORE: Federal board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) Investigation and Prosecution wing raided Ismaeel Garments Factory as it was not registered with FBR despite having taxable income and confiscated its record.

Sources said that a team of Investigation wing conducted scrutiny of the last five years record to know whether or not the said factory has national tax number as it has taxable income.

During scrutiny, it was revealed that Ismaeel Garments Factory is not in the list of taxpayers on which the officials raided the factory located in industrial area Kot Lakhpat, Lahore and seized all its record and computers for further investigation.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Investigation and Prosecution Muhammad Imran along with Inspector Sadaq Salik, Qasir Malik and Rana Abdul Jabbar.
