Tax evasion: PRA seals 12 housing societies in Sialkot, 10 in Sargodha

SIALKOT: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has launched a crackdown against the housing societies, involved in tax evasion.

The PRA officials, taking action, sealed 12 societies and banned all their transactions. These housing societies include Green Villas, Silk City, Palm City, Happy Valley, Model Housing Society and Nishtar Garden Housing Society etc.

The PRA had also sealed ten housing societies, one hotel and two beauty parlours in Sargodha in April last year.

Meanwhile, the PRA team also sealed 10 societies in Sargodha. These housing societies include Prime Valley involved in tax evasion of Rs5.9 million, Allama Iqbal Town evaded Rs4.9 million tax, Alraza Garden involved in tax evasion Rs8.6 million, New Raza Garden in Rs12.8 million, Nishra Valley in Rs6.4 million, Usman Block in Rs4.9 million, Shalimar Garden in Rs4.4 million and Green Valley in Rs5.8 million. The Sargodha PRA also sealed two beauty parlours, including All Fair Beauty Parlour and Zehra, for tax evasion.
