KARACHI: As the current fiscal year is going to end, all the chief commissioners and commissioners concerned of the Inland Revenue are trying hard to achieve their respective financial targets.
Well-informed sources of the FBR told this scribe that all officials are taking strict measures to achieve financial targets and they did not spare anybody who is involved in tax defaulting. Sources further revealed that every chief commissioner and commissioner of the Inland Revenue was working separately on his own plan of action.
Sources said that in the beginning of the current fiscal year, the position of receivable amount was not satisfactory. Keeping in view this situation, the higher authorities of the FBR issued letters to all chief commissioners and commissioner of Inland Revenue to achieve the financial targets.
In these letters, the officials were warned that if they failed to achieve the financial targets, their hundred percent performance allowance, which is equal to their basic pay, will be withdrawn from their salaries.
