LAHORE: Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan of the Lahore High Court admits a petition filed by a citizen Junaid Saleem against exemption of duty on Indian made jewellery.
During hearing of the case Lahore High Court issued notice to federal government, Federal Board of Revenue in tax examption on Indain jewellary
In his petition Junaid Saleem said that India not granted exemption on any item imported from Pakistan. But FBR announced to exempt duty on jewellery imports from India. He further pleaded that this measure will put a negative impact on local jewellery industry. The petitioner also enclosed a notification issued by FBR to exempt duty on Indian made jewellery.
