Tax reforms imperative to facilitate businesses: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government is striving hard to eliminate unnecessary regulations in the taxation system to facilitate the business community.

The PM said this while talking to a delegation of leading industrialists of the country who, along with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, called on him.

The premier said a series of meetings with the business community will be held so as to further pursue the taxation reform and business facilitation process.

He maintained that investment friendly environment, improvement in the taxation system and provision of maximum facilities to the business community were among his government’s top priorities, adding that the government would consider the suggestions forwarded by the business community during the reformation process.

The business delegation praised the government’s steps for the promotion of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and financial packages to Karachi.

The representatives also apprised the premier on the issues being faced by the business community.

During the meeting, the representatives were briefed over the steps taken by the government for ease in doing businesses in the country.
