“The government is not paying our salaries after the transfer of Ministry of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation to Punjab. Punjab is not ready to pay us,” said Bukhari.

The government was earning huge revenue from the department’s bus service and different resorts were also a source of income, he said.

The protestors demanded that the government release their salaries as their families were starving and their children have been removed from their schools due to nonpayment of fees.
