AMSTERDAM: Tele2 Netherlands announced the appointment of Gerben Wijbenga as the new managing director for its consumer activities. Fedor Hoevenaars, who held the position on an interim basis for the past ten months, will return to his previous position of MD at the business activities.
The appointment will take effect 01 November. Wijbenga has extensive experience in the telecom market, having worked at various ‘challenger’ operators in Germany and assisting in the integration of E-Plus at Telefonica Deutschland. Wijbenga worked previously at operators including Simyo, Blau Mobilfunk and Ortel Mobile.
