HARARE: Telecel Zimbabwe will roll out another 75 kiosks in Harare to boost revenue, NewsDay reported. This follows a 35 percent reduction in network tariffs imposed by the telecommunications regulator and competition from social applications such as WhatsApp. The project will cost USD 150,000 and the mobile operator is waiting for authorisation from the city council to put up the booths, CEO Angeline Vere said.
She said they should be in place in the next two months. Vere said operators are facing a very difficult time because of over-the-top applications, especially Viber and WhatsApp.
