KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement West issued a notification stating that after reviewing request forwarded by Karachi Customs Agent’s Association it is decided that there is no need of stamping on excise paid challan by the excise staff posted at NBP, Customs House branch.
The notification further stated that as the goods declaration filed in WeBOC are only processed after the payment of Sindh Excise Infrastructure Cess for the clearance of the consignments electronically. As such, the terminal operators are directed not to demand Sindh Excise Cess challan at the time of delivery of the goods in case where the GD has been filed in WeBOC system.
