KARACHI: All commercial imports of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) and retrograde/reverse cargo modules have been installed in Web Based One Customs (WeBOC) through an ATT pilot project.
One of the high officials informed Customs Today that the Pakistan Customs has launched a pilot face of ATT and reverse cargo from Jan 1, 2014 on the directives of FBR chief Tariq Bajwa.
The official further told this scribe that the pilot face of the ATT and reverse cargo in WeBOC will run for few days in which the customs agents dealing with ATT will file their Goods Declarations (GDs) for testing the entire pilot project. After that FBR will make the necessary changes in the system, if needed.
Replying to a query, the Customs official said that FBR is still not receiving any complaints by the stakeholders in filing their GDs on ATT pilot project after passing 16 days of its launching, adding that the authorities concerned of Pakistan Customs will finalise the entire system in connection with ATT and reverse cargo by the end of this month.
