Pakistan is the eighth-largest exporter of textile products in Asia, comprising 46 percent of the total manufacturing sector and providing employment to 40 percent of the country’s total labor force.

Textiles remain Pakistan’s largest export sector, earning $17.97 billion last year, according to data shared by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association.

“More than 2,000 international brands and over 425 companies participated in the event, alongside official delegations from more than eight countries,” state broadcaster Radio Pakistan reported.

These countries include China, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Russia, it added.

The event was organized by event management company Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan and is being supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The SIFC is a hybrid civil-military government body formed to attract international investment in Pakistan’s priority sectors.

Radio Pakistan said the exhibition brings together manufacturers, investors, buyers and industry leaders from around the world, showcasing the latest developments in textile and garment machinery, digital technologies, and value-added manufacturing.
