KARACHI: Textile imports increased by 6.1 percent in October 2014.
As many as $4.595 billion has been earned as foreign exchange while the imports had been recorded at $4.667 during July-October 2013-14.
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics facts and figures show that import of net wares has been increased to 10.89 percent from $758.228 million to $840.773 million. Import of towels has been recorded at 4.23 percent and $253.590 million have been earned out of it.
