SATUN: Crime Suppression Division and marine police seized a large quantity of smuggled foreign liquor in a raid on a modified fishing boat in Langu district of Satun province early on Monday.
A team led by Pol Col Sompong Suwanwong, chief of CSD Sub-division 6, boarded the fishing boat Chok Boonmee, which was moored in Tingee canal in tambon Langu, about 1am following a tip off about liquor being smuggled from Malaysia.
They found 410 boxes containing 4,920 bottles of Red Label whisky worth about 2 million baht.
The officers also seized the boat, worth about 1.5 million baht.
There were no arrests.
