Thailand mulls imposing anti dumping on Egyptian steel sheets

BNAGKOK: Amwalalghad reported that Thailand has started an investigation into imports of steel sheets from Egypt for possible dumping and subsidization. Head of the Egyptian Authority for Anti-Dumping Ibrahim El-Segeiny said the Thai Ministry of Industry had notified the Egyptian Authority for Anti-Dumping of its plans to impose anti-dumping duties on Egyptian steel sheets in the coming period.

He told “This isn’t correct; Egyptian steel sheets don’t capture more than 3 percent of the Thai market after all.
