Three judges appointed at customs regional offices

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Justice and Law has appointed three judges at different regional offices of the Customs Appellate Tribunal since start of the year 2017.

Aaqil Hassan Chohan was appointed Special Judge at tribunal’s Lahore office, Muhammad Saleem was appointed Member Technical at tribunal’s Peshawar office and Shoaib Khan was appointed Member Technical as Peshawar office.

The ministry had notified their appointments in the January-February.

The notifications had been delivered to several offices of state including the Cabinet Division, Establishment Division, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Customs Appellate Tribunal and others.

Before these appointments, the ministry had appointed Dr Syed Muhammad Anwar as Judicial Member, Customs Appellate Tribunal Islamabad.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had approved all the said appointments after reviewing the summaries forwarded by the ministry in this regard.
