TINS trainees visit FBR House; briefed on working

ISLAMABAD: A group of 15 trainees, getting training at the Training Institute of National Savings Islamabad, visited the FBR House to learn about the working of the FBR as part of their study tour.

The visiting trainees were accompanied by their teaching staff led by Principal of Institute Shazia Nawaz. They were welcomed and given a detailed briefing on the working of the FBR and the importance and role of taxes in socio-economic development.

The sources said the a Q&A session also followed during which the trainees asked keen questions about the organisational structure of the FBR and the nature of work and policy measures adopted from time to time for revenue generation and resource mobilisation.

Chief of Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) Wing Tehmina Aamer, Chief (Management) Customs FBR Muhammad Junaid Khan and Chief Income Tax Policy Sajidullah Siddiqui answered the queries. Shazia Nawaz thanked the FBR management for the visit and hoped the visiting trainees will have benefited from it.

At the completion of discussion, commemorative shields were also exchanged.
