Token tax: Excise seizes documents of 240 vehicles in first week of February

LAHORE: The motor branch of the Excise and Taxation Department has launched a crackdown against token tax defaulter vehicles and seized the documents of 240 vehicles during the first week of February.

Sources told Customs Today that the authorities have started the crackdown against the vehicles without computerized number plates and are token tax defaulters. The department started the campaign during the beginning of the new year. A department spokesman said that the teams had set up check points on various roads, includes Empress Road near Ali Complex, Faisal Town Road, Multan Road near Saggian, Walton, Lalik Chowk and Rizwan Garden.
