TOKYO: Tokyo shares have finished 0.10 per cent higher on bargain hunting, reversing losses from earlier in the day after investors shrugged off the latest Chinese economic data.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 20.13 points to 19,691.39, staying at its highest level since late August for another day.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares closed up 0.37 per cent, or 5.84 points, at 1,595.32.
