TOKYO: Tokyo stocks climbed 0.56 per cent on Monday following rallies in New York, with shareholders expecting for new stimulus from the European Central Bank’s policy meeting later this week.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 93.70 points to 16,957.86, while the Topix index of all first-section shares climbed 0.37 per cent, or 5.08 points, to 1,368.81 by break.
