KUALA LUMPUR: Romacorp, Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s, announces the opening of its newest restaurant, located in Johor Bahru, the capital of the Malaysian state of Johor. This is the 12th restaurant in Malaysia for Romacorp’s franchisee, Grand Companions Sdn Bhd, which opened its first Tony Roma’s in 2006 at Sunway Pyramid in Selangor, Malaysia.  Grand Companions Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd.

“We could not be more proud of the continued success of Tony Roma’s in Malaysia, and we are excited that this new restaurant will bring our world-famous Tony Roma’s ribs and dining experience to new fans in Malaysia,” said Stephen K. Judge, President and Chief Executive Officer of Romacorp, Inc. “George Ang and the Grand Companions Sdn Bhd team have been a true pleasure to work with, and they are incredible stewards of the Tony Roma’s brand.  Their restaurants are a testament to their passion for the brand and commitment to creating incredible guest experiences.”

The new Tony Roma’s restaurant is located at AEON Mall Tebrau City, which is AEON’s second largest mall worldwide. The restaurant is 4,837 square feet, seats nearly 250 guests, has two TVs, and has covered outdoor seating for guests to relax and enjoy the weather.  The restaurant is located near Fanpekka, a Finnish conceptual theme park for kids, that is the first of its kind in South East Asia. This makes Tony Roma’s the perfect place to dine with family and friends after a fun day of theme park thrills and shopping excursions.

“We are very excited to open our 12th Tony Roma’s in Tebrau, just a short five months after the opening of our 11th restaurant in Mahkota Parade, Melaka,” said George Ang, Chief Executive Officer of Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd. “We know this latest location will draw in more Tony Roma’s fans, just like our other locations, which are tantalizing the taste buds of Johoreans and Singaporeans alike, with irresistible and innovative lamb and beef ribs, a vibrant and fun dining experience, and exceptional service.”
