PESHAWAR: The authorities have closed the Torkham border as a pre-emptive step in light of the tribesmen’s rally against US President Donald Trump’s new policy.
The tribesmen from Khyber Agency rallied from Landi Kotal to Torkham border to protest against the new policy recently announced by Trump.
A large number of people from different parts of Khyber Agency gathered at Hamza Baba ground in Landi Kotal before heading towards Torkham border, where they staged the protest.
A number of pedestrians holding Pakistan flags, including members of the Sikh community, also made their way towards the border, along with scores of vehicles.
