Torkham Border starts operations 7 days a week

PESHAWAR: Federal Board of Revenue and Pakistan Customs fulfilled promise of Prime Minister Imran Khan to open Torkham Border 7 days a week.

Customs House Peshawar started round-the-clock operationalization of Torkham Border station from 6am to 8pm from this week. The Collectorates of MCC preventive and Appraisement have expanded operations to 7 days a week, sources at MCC Peshawar informed.

Collector Customs Preventive Asif Saeed Khan and Collector Appraisement Syed Ihsan Ali Shah agreed that all the requirements in connection with 7 days a week opening of Torkham Border are accomplished and installed. This will cover Customs clearance of all import/export cargo and passenger traffic baggage through Torkham Customs Station. The matters of deployment in different shifts have already been issued to respective Collectorates, sources said.
