Torkham Customs collects Rs1968.44m in 1Q

PESHAWAR: The Torkham Customs Station of Model Customs Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 1968.44 million during first quarter of current Financial Year from July to September.

Performance of Deputy Collector at Torkham Customs Station Muhammad Najib Anjum lauded by Collector at MCC Peshawar Gul Rahman during a talk with Customs Today at Peshawar Customs.

Earlier the Collector customs issued strict directives to the customs officials to meet the revenue target of current FY 2017-18 for which the Deputy Collector Torkham Customs Station was praised.

According to detail the Torkham Customs collected Rs685.36 million CD in first quarter of current FY. Torkham Customs generated Rs 437.80 million ST and Rs 59.84 million ST on VM COM in first quarter.

In the same way the Torkham Customs Station collected an amount of Rs 783.43 million additional income tax during first quarter of current FY in which Rs 556.69 million was collected as A.I.T on imports and Rs 226.74 million A.I.T exports.

The Collector Customs said the Torkham Customs station faced strike due to which exports had posed a loss of millions to the exchequer of Torkham Customs in September of current fiscal year.
