TORKHAM: Customs staff of Torkham on Monday aborted an attempt of smuggling and seized 19 I-phone Samsung mobile phone sets worth Rs5.7million which were being smuggled from Afghanistan.
After receiving a tip-off that a consignment of costly mobile phone will be smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan via Torkham border, the ASO squad was standing alert on the checking point of Torkham border and seized the 19 I-phone Samsung mobile phone sets worth Rs.5.7 million which were being smuggled by Obaidur Rehman. An FIR has been lodged against the Afghan national. And the case has also been forwarded to the investigation and prosecution department for further action.
