Torkham Customs Station collects Rs2875.78m from July to 22nd November 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Customs Torkham Station collected Rs2875.78 million including all duty and taxes during current financial year from 1st July to 22nd November 2016-17.

According to details, Customs Station Torkham collected revenue of Rs28.09 million under the head of customs duty. The station also collected Rs 28.09 million under the head of miscellaneous taxes during above said period.

Sources said that Customs Torkham Station showed good performance during above said period but collected less revenue due to tension on Pakistan-Afghanistan international border.

Sources said that Torkham Station collected Rs2.98 million revenue under the head of regulatory duty on imports and also collected revenue head of edition duty surcharge amounting to Rs.28.98 million, sources adding that in this way Torkham Station collected total Customs duty including above all taxes, surcharges and duties amounting Rs.1088.42 million.

Sources said that from July to 22nd November FY16-17 the Torkham Station collected Rs79.61 million revenue under the head of sales tax and collected Rs.513.56 million collected revenue under the head of sales tax on imports a.

It is also told that during said period the Torkham Station collected revenue on head of additional income tax (AIT) amounting to Rs.906.40 million while Torkham Station collected revenue under the  head of AIT exports amounting to Rs.287.79 million in this way Torkham Station collected total AIT amounting Rs.1194.19 million.
