Torkham Station receives Rs137.11m all duty taxes between 1st to 15th June

TORKHAM: The Pak-Afghan International Customs Station Torkham earned Rs137.11million of All Duty Taxes during the 1st to 15th of June’s Financial Year FY2016-17.

According to Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Shakoor that during the initial 15 days of June FY2016-17, the Torkham Customs Station collected Rs22.07million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs0.29million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges while Torkham generated Rs53.67million Sales Tax (ST) and did Rs7.20million of ST on Imports.
The ADC told CT that during the 1st to 15th of June FY16-17, Torkham Station received Rs25.47million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and it did Rs28.41million of AIT Exports.
He said the Torkham got Rs203.73million of All Duty Taxes during the 1st to 15th of May’s Financial Year (FY) 2016-17. During initial 15 days of current month of May FY2016-17, the Torkham Station generated Rs26.38million of CD while it did Rs0.98million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. The Torkham received Rs1.22million of RD on Imports.
During the 1st to 15th of May FY2016-17, the Torkham Station got Rs82.36million of ST whereas it did Rs11.74million of ST on Imports of palm oil. The Torkham earned Rs37.54million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).
