KARACHI: Looking to penetrate into what could be a huge market, TPL Trakker, a venture of TPL Holdings, has announced the launch of its first personal tracking product ‘Personal Trakking’ – a range of personal monitoring devices designed to assist with tracking people.

The portable device, launched formally yesterday, is small enough to fit or be concealed inside a pocket or a bag and comes in two forms; as a pod that could be used as a key chain or as a complete watch along with tracking facilities.

The smart locator works over the GSM network and is built in with multiple options and emergency alerts like an SOS button and real-time location updates. It also has the ‘geo-fencing’ facility; particularly beneficial for school-going children, stated officials.

Speaking on the occasion, TPL Trakker Limited CEO Ali Jameel said, “TPL is extremely excited to bring PT into the lives of the people of Pakistan and with this state-of-the-art product, one can be assured of one’s loved ones whereabouts or even workforce competency.

“Everyone should be able to live their lives feeling safe with no exceptions, this device will give consumers their peace of mind that is every human’s basic right,” said TPL Trakker Limited Chairman Jameel Yousuf.

The product is supplied as a complete package with an accompanying Mobile App, SIM card and full user training.

The pod will cost around Rs13, 000, with another Rs6, 500 for services activation.

The company though is in talks to liaise with various banks so that the product could be available to customers on lease.
