LAHORE: Trade deficit with India through Wagah Border alone remained Rs 1.15 billion during the first half of March 2015 that is less than the corresponding period of the previous month, February.
As per detail, the trade deficit was Rs 1.72 billion in 15 days of February 2015 during trade between Pakistan and India via Wagah Border Lahore.
Pakistan has exported items worth Rs 323 million to India through Wagah Border during first half of March 2015. Pakistan exported cement, gypsum, vegetables extracts, seeds of plants glass and etc to India during said period.
On the other hand, Pakistan imported items worth Rs 1.48 billion in first fifteen days of March 2015. Pakistan has imported many items from India like soya bean, ginger, cotton, tomatoes and other vegetables.
Pakistan Customs Land Freight Unit Wagah has collected almost Rs 628.2 million as taxes during the first half of March month.
