KARACHI: Trade Dispute Resolution Authority of Pakistan will be constituted soon to boost trade with the world as trade disputes are the main barrier in promotion on this account.
This was revealed by Federal Secretary for Commerce Muhammad Younas Dagha, during a media encounter after the interactive session with the delegates from Africa visiting 10th Expo Pakistan stamped as “Emerging Pakistan” held at Karachi Expo Centre. To a question, he said the draft for the authority would be presented in the Parliament in January 2018 for the legislation.
Dagha said the authority would enjoy the powers of a commission and it would help promote the country’s trade. It would have a monitory role over Pakistani exporters so that the foreign buyers might not have any complaint against or dispute with them.
In case of complaint from Pakistani businessmen against any foreign company relating to trade, the issue would be raised with Embassies of the respective countries, he added.
