The transporters and drivers from Pakistan who are delivering gypsum and cement to India on Friday stage a protest on GT Road to show solidarity with their colleague who is in Indian custody. On Friday, the protesters blocked the GT Road and protested against India, while on Saturday, they show solidarity with their colleague Ali Khan by blocking the supplies to India.
The Pakistani driver was arrested by the Indian police two months ago on the charges of killing an Indian laborer in a road accident at the Attari station near Wagha. According to details, the Pakistani driver carried a trailer of gypsum to India, and during unloading of the consignment, an Indian laborer died there. Indian local court has approved his bail but Ali Khan is still in police custody.
