Traders, businessmen meet FBR IR

LAHORE: Traders and businessmen have met Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) member IR Shahid Hussain Asad and discussed with him issues being faced by the business community.

The FBR officials were positive in resolving business community’s issues. Meanwhile, they discussed ways and means for broadening the tax net and facilitating the taxpayers, Kashif Anwar former vice president of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry told Customs Today.

He further added that member IR Shahid Asad has assured them that tax net base will be broadened keeping in view the interest and issues of the business community.

He said that it is good omen that FBR has taken business community on board to finalize their decision regarding increasing tax base and revenue.

He said that next session of talks between FBR and representatives of business community will soon be held and far reaching decisions will be made.
